Believe it or not, the popular Escalante just got even better. With increased decoupling in the midsole and outsole for more flexibility on the run, and added perforations for breathability in the upper, this Escalante 2 has a better fit and better performance. Good running shoe, nice fit. Comfortable. I had been running in the Escalante 1.5 and Boston 26.2 versions which I liked both. The Boston was very light. Version 2 of this shoe is a tad heavier but wasn’t too noticeable on the couple of runs I have used them for so far. I did notice the mid sole is a tad stiffer but since I’ve changed in the last year to striking more mid foot anyway, it wasn’t too noticeable for me. If you are a forefoot striker you may not like this show. I suggest you try it first. It is for me quite…

Still a great shoe I’ve now had all three models of the escalante. Straight out the box, I’d have to say the 1.5 is more comfortable then the 2, however, my first run in the 2 was 20 miles and I had no issues at all. I won’t say its better than the 1.5 but at least they didn’t spoil it like the One. I may now buy another 1.5 before they disappear.
